Valby Foam Marker

The foam marker comes with 50 feet of boom hose.  The mouthpiece on the end of the hose forms the foam balls to about 3 inches wide.  The marker makes up to 20 foam balls per minute.
 

The Valby foam marker is inexpensive to buy and to use as it uses regular dishwashing detergent to make the foam.  Cost of the foam is about 5 cents per acre.

The Valby foam marker is hooked to the tractor's 12 V electric system, usually to the rear worklight or to the parking light.  The foam marker only draws 7 amps, so the circuit is usually sufficiently protected by the original fuse.

The foam markers frame is fastened with two bolts to the sprayer.

wpeB3.jpg (4087 bytes) The tanks hold five gallons of water.  Detergent is mixed with the water for 1.5-2.5% strength.   Water and detergent need to be added only every 2-4 hours.

 
The quick attach control valve frame is hooked up in the cab.  The control enables the operator to drop the foam balls on either or both sides.
